• Your owner's manual has maintenance schedules for all your car's systems
• Check fluids on schedule and change the oil filter regularly—every 3,000 to 4,000 miles
• Check tire inflation once a month
• Check battery for corrosion
• Inspect belts for cracks and missing segments
• Replace windshield washer blades once a year, or sooner if streaking begins
• Check lights frequently. A tip for testing lights by yourself—park with the rear of the car toward a glass shop window. Look in rear-view mirror. Test brake lights, tail lights, and turn signals. Watch the reflection in the window for results. Park with car facing toawrd the window. Test headlights and turn signals again. Note any lights that fail.
